Mahdokht Akbari Teameh

As a doctoral student , she focuses on the study of dosimetric gel in order to optimize the dose profile of episcleral plates used in the treatment of eye cancer by brachytherapy.  

​

She completed her bachelor's degree in materials engineering and industrial metallurgy at Semman University in Iran. She continues her career by completing a master's degree in biomedical engineering of biomaterials at the University of Tehran.

Souheid Zekraoui

As a doctoral student , he works on the development of new sources for eye cancer brachytherapy using radioactive nanoparticles embedded in biomedical polymers.

​

He obtained his bachelor's degree in hospital biomedical engineering at the University of Sétif 1. Subsequently, he obtained his first master's degree in biomedical engineering also at the University of Sétif 1. He completed his second master's degree in detectors, instrumentation and imaging in radiation physics at the University of Strasbourg.

Samila Leon Chaviano

As a PhD student , her project focuses on the study of contrast-enhanced hybrid nanomaterials as cellular scaffolds for regenerative medicine.  

​

She obtained her baccalaureate in radiochemistry at the Higher Institute of Technologies and Applied Sciences in Havana. She continued her studies there by completing her master's degree in radiochemical sciences.  

​

Raquel Espino López

As a Master's student, her project focuses on developing a multi-scale methodology for the measurement of nanoparticle diffusion in biological tissues for radiosensitization applications.

 

She completed her bachelor's degree in Radiochemistry at the Higher Institute of Technologies and Applied Sciences (InSTEC) at the University of Havana, Cuba.

Jean-Francois Sauvageau

As a doctoral student , he is developing a continuous dielectric barrier plasma discharge process for the synthesis of nanoparticles to process mining products.

 

After completing his bachelor's degree in materials and metallurgy engineering at Laval University, he began a master's degree in Professor Fortin's laboratory. He will continue his master's project up to the doctorate in order to complete it.

Zongyi Liu

As a master's student , she is working on the development of a 3D-printed tumor cell culture model.  

​

She obtained a bachelor's degree in medical biophysics from Western University in London.

As a doctoral student , she is working on the development of 3D printed hydrogels optimized for drug release for the treatment of cervical cancer.

She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry at the Chemical Institute of St. Petersburg State University.

Mahmoud Omar

A doctoral student , he specializes in the drug delivery system. His project focuses on the study of diffusion of radiolabeled drugs through membranes in real time using positron emission tomography.

​

He comes from a course in pharmacology that he began at the University of Greenwich, England. From there, he undertook studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Laval University, which brought him to the laboratory of Professor Fortin in materials engineering.

Natalia Milaniak

Postdoctoral researcher , she is interested in the physico-chemical characterization of dielectric barrier plasma discharges used for the synthesis of nanoparticles.

 

She obtained her doctorate in materials and metallurgical engineering at Université Laval.

Sophie Lemay

A master's student, she is working on the development of a 3D printed hydrogel eye model containing cells.

She obtained her bachelor's degree in engineering physics at Laval University in Quebec.

Theophraste Lescot

As a master's student, his project concerns the 3D printing of polyetheretherketone episcleral plates for brachytherapy to treat eye cancer.

​

After completing a bachelor's degree in engineering physics at Laval University, he began research in the biomedical field.  Its expertise in medical imaging and additive manufacturing allows it to be at the forefront of the manufacture of biomedical implants.
